- Weeks 6–12 (Transition): Cast is removed; check X-rays evaluate healing. Transition into a walking boot with gradual weight-bearing
- Month 3 Onward: Full weight-bearing resumes once fusion is completely healed

- Immediate Post-Op: Leg elevated above heart level; antibiotics for 24 hours; physical therapy starts right away
